Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Gentilly Vision Source the leading provider of vision care products and services in New Orleans.

Michael N. Kleamenakis, O.D.

Dr. Kleamenakis is a New Orleans native and graduated from University of New Orleans, then received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1987. He has been in practice since 1987. Dr. Kleamenakis specializes in contact lens fitting, bifocal, astigmatism, dry eyes, post surgical, extended wear, and keratoconus. Lasik consultation and co-management. Gentilly Vision Source was established in 1961. After the original doctor retired Dr. Kleamenakis took over the practice. He provides first class eye care for newborns to seniors, offering the newest technology in products and diagnostic treatment. Dr. Kleamenakis is married with four sons and he enjoys fishing, boating, tennis, and karate.

Michael Bilalis, O.D.

Dr Bilalis is a native New Orleanian, first generation American born to Greek parents. He graduated from Jesuit High School in 2008, LSU with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry in 2012, and his Doctorate of Optometry from the UIW Rosenburg School of Optometry in San Antonio in 2017. Dr Bilalis has combined his passion for optometry with his desire to help others by volunteering at the Louisiana School for the Blind and in a mission trip to Oaxa, Mexico. He specializes in contact lens fittings, bifocals, astigmatism, dry eye treatments, and the management/treatment of various eye diseases. Outside of the office, Dr Bilalis enjoys hunting, fishing, running with his dog- Souma and is an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
